Teksomak’s campaign to raise awareness about recycling textile waste turned into a real educational tour of schools and kindergartens in the Municipality of Gazi Baba. We visited: OOU “Dane Krapchev”, OOU “25 Maj”, OOU “Naum Naumovski – Borche”, OOU “Krum Toshev”, OOU “Grigor Prlicev”, OOU “Stiv Naumov”, OOU “Vera Jocic”, OOU “Kiril i Metodij”, as well as the kindergartens: “Sonce”, “Sinolicka”, “Peperutka”, “Iskra”, “Detelinka”, “Poni”, “Morkovche”, JUDG “Detska Radost ” – Mimoza”,  JUDG “Detska Radost” – Kalinka, JUDG “Detska Radost ” – Temjanushka” and JUDG “Detska Radost” – Sunflower.

We met wonderful children and young people who love and care for their environment. Together we learned how irresponsible disposal of textile waste can be dangerous and risky for the health of our planet. We learned how and where we can recycle, and our friend was always by our side – the Hippo container that can collect old pillows, bed linen, quilts and other unnecessary textile materials.

In addition, we had creative workshops where we created new products from old textile materials. Thus, children and young people, in addition to learning how important the process of reusing unnecessary textiles is, created real works of art that are immediately ready for new use. Most importantly, we learned that together we are stronger and more effective – the care for the environment that each of us shows will be a reflection of what our future will look like.
