Teksomak and Municipality of Gevgelija – Educational campaign for recycling textile waste 07.05.2026

On 07.05.2026, together with the Municipality of Gevgelija, we implemented an educational campaign in primary schools and kindergartens in Gevgelija, dedicated to the proper selection and recycling of textile waste.

Through interactive presentations, conversations and educational content tailored to the youngest, we helped children learn how important it is to care for the environment and how each of us can contribute to a cleaner and healthier future. In an interesting and easily understandable way, we introduced them to the consequences of reckless disposal of textile waste, but also to the possibilities for its proper disposal and recycling.

Our friend-container HIPPO caused special attention and joy among the children, who through play and socializing showed them where old clothes, pillows, bedding, quilts and other unnecessary textiles should end up. Through such a fun and educational approach, the youngest more easily adopted ecological habits and recognized the importance of recycling.

These activities are part of our joint cooperation with the Municipality of Gevgelija to establish a system for managing waste textiles in the municipality.

In the coming period, we will continue to implement such educational events in the settlements in the municipality, in order to contribute to raising public awareness and creating an ecological culture among all generations.
